Fitness Update

I was in AP/Telengana (Vijaywada/Hyderabad) for 2 days and the plan was to eat lots of rice as part of my favourite cuisine- Andhra food. Since we were staying the Courtyard by Mariott (but got upgraded to the Presidential Suite at Mariott), I would be able to workout atleast once at the gym… twice, if I was upto it. On Thursday morning I hit the gym for an upper body workout.

Fitness Update

I have taken my own time to get back into the groove after the injury. I don’t want to go back to the physiotherapist (despite him being a Gujju and loving Sindhi food) ever again and have been doing everything to prevent that in the future.

I spoke to Rishabh last night. He is an Ironman. Don’t know what that means? Check this and this. It is basically a 3.86 km swim, 180.25 km bicycle ride and 42.2 km run without a break and in that order. So, yeah… please stop calling me crazy for running 21 km. 21 km is NOTHING. And no, I didn’t ask his timing. Its irrelevant. Anyway. Rishabh is my junior from B school and an entrepreneur. Ok, am going to stop raving now. He is the person I go to when I need advice. Not always, but at crucial times. Last night was one such moment.

Workout Tales

Anita’s comment has inspired me to write about my workout schedule in detail.

I am not new to trying to lose weight. Thankfully, I have succeeded in the past and also maintained it. I did not yo-yo diet but ate healthy and worked out regularly. After moving to Mumbai, I did continue the same for sometime but loneliness, depression and unhappiness made me care less and less. I remember telling KC- ‘You are my mojo. When you are not around I don’t feel like taking care of myself’.
